Cornwall Pavillion

Ballard Architects served as Tenant Suite Design Architects for twenty-five medical/surgical specialties in the 100,000 SF Cornwall Pavilion built in 2008-09 on the downtown campus of the Loudoun Hospital. Specialties included Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Family Practice, Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Urology, anesthesia, Cardiology, OB-GYN, plus Executive Offices for LMG. Consumer friendly environments created along with staffing efficiencies were the objectives of many layouts, some of which were keyed off the “Modified Mayo Concept” championed by Dr, Cook who was involved in many of the designs. The “Ballard Team” contributed years of experience in healthcare facilities planning to the table, and partnered with Physician Group, a custom-designed, state-of-the-art Suite was created. A featured Project of Ballard Architects is Dr. Cook’s MDVIP Internal Medicine Suite that combines the best attributes of aesthetics, art, patient comfort and staff efficiency into a complete service module.
